Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Real Estate, the Real Estate Transactions Manager is a key member of the Real Estate team which is responsible for securing new locations and managing the real estate functions of our existing network of stores.


Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop network plan for retail expansion.
  • Understand markets, projects, and sites thoroughly which includes periodic site visits, and regular market visits.
  • Preparation of deal packages for executive approval.
  • Communication with brokers and landlords.
  • Monitor all existing tenancies and Lease expiration dates. Negotiate and complete extension agreements as directed.
  • Research market comparable rents.
  • Offer and lease reviews and negotiations.
  • Present new site opportunities and market overviews to the SVP of Real Estate.


Experience and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in business, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years in a similar role.
  • Proficient PC skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in the commercial real estate market is a requirement.
  • Understanding of a retail lease is a requirement.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion across Canada.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build long term business relationships.
  • Strong time management and organization skills, and an ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Capacity to learn easily and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must pass a basic security clearance.
